Australian Junior Squash Tour (AJST)

Australian Junior Squash Tour (AJST)

The Australian Junior Squash Tour (AJST) is an umbrella tour that provides a clear competitive pathway for aspiring squash players. The AJST has been designed to offer Ranking Points across four levels of tournaments; Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. All tournaments are ranked nationally on a scale for age groups U19, U17, U15, U13 and U11. All of the tournaments on the AJST give every player an opportunity to be recognised under the Australian Junior Ranking System.

Who is eligible for a ranking?

Juniors must:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen/Resident
  • Must be under the age of 19
  • Must be a MySquashAus member
  • Must have played an AJST event in the last 12 months

How are ranking points calculated?

Rankings points can be gained by competing in any of the following Squash Australia Sanctioned competitions:

  • Platinum (Australian Junior Championships, Oceania Junior Championships, Australian Junior Open)
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Bronze

Once a player has completed an event and has an official finishing position they will automatically be given the corresponding ranking points for that level of competition. You can view the points tables below.

Rankings are based on total points of a player's best 5 results over the last 12 months.

Players competing up an age group at sanctioned events are eligible to receive ranking points for a maximum of one age group above their correct age group.

  • Seeding for a tournament will use the rankings as at the date of entries closing.
  • AJST Platinum events will be seeded in line with the National Event policy.
